Alberta Ferretti will present her Spring Summer 2016 Limited Edition collection to celebrate the opening of the new Paris headquarters located on 43 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore.
This exclusive event will pay tribute to elegance and sartorial high fashion in a location rich in history and art. The hôtel particulier, once owned by the Goldschmidt-Rothschild family, is a perfectly enchanting place to showcase the 25 cocktail and evening creations by Alberta Ferretti. These creations are a mixture of couture and the modernity of Pret-a-porter.
Inspired by the prestigious interiors of the building, the silhouettes, embroideries, and vibrant colors of this collection are reminiscent of the friezes and virtuous pictorial elements often seen in 19th Century interiors. Delicate, romantic piano music fills the air, while models walk through the space and form a spectacular tableau vivant.
From floor to ceiling the arabesques, vaulted ceilings and door and wall etchings are interpreted on silk, chiffon, tulle, and duchesse in the form of rich, saturated prints, or as jeweled floral and pearl embroideries. Each of these is hand sewn to create luxurious ornamental motifs.
The fabrics are delicate and light with fluid lines or sculpted by hidden crinolines. The color palette includes rich tones of green, blue, amaranth, and splendid gold lace. Pure white is revealed through inlays, draperies, and micro ruffles embedded with crystal pearls that recall the glimmer of antique chandeliers. The accessories are small works of art, enriched with embossed embroideries that evoke the refined aesthetic of the rooms in the palace.
