From Asia the Creative Director Mario Chiarenza takes the intriguing patterns on silk blazers and shirts, the majestic tiger and the rich colour palette of chili pepper, blackberry, plum, wine and vermillion, inspired by the church stained-glass windows from the middle-ages. Inspired by the 14th century European, the cutting of the fabric, the design and the opulent and ornate brocade, together with the processing of exotic skins and furs, eponymous with Billionaire’s dedication to luxury play a major part in the FW14 collection.
This line presents fiery red crocodile-skin bomber jackets and weekend bags, python-skin detailing on puffer jackets as well as wide fox fur collars on classic cashmere coats. Details that embody this season’s medieval theme are signature denim pockets, sweaters’ crests and slippers, narratively embroidered with armored knights, tiger and dragon designs.
Highlights in the collection include luxurious knitwear in wool and cashmere mix which is lined with fur such as fox and chinchilla. The eveningwear Billionaire the classic black silk tuxedo becomes bright, hand-embroidered with Swarovski applications on pockets and lapels.
