Louis Vuitton introduces three limited edition shoe models dedicated to Italian cities.

As homage to the elegance of Italian women, Louis Vuitton introduces a capsule collection of shoes, dedicated to three symbolic cities of the “Bel Paese’s” lifestyle: Rome, Milan and Venice. An exclusive, limited edition collection comprising three models which identify the joie de vivre of Italy and of Italian women, their independence and their sensuality, in a tribute to the savoir faire of the worldwide shoe manufacturing country par excellence.

The three models reinterpret the rich and precious manufacturing and typical embroideries of the Maison’s ready-to-wear and accessories in a dark and glam key. Sequins, bows, stones and studs are applied on the shoes and hand-sewn on soft suede. The eye-catching elegance and nightly glam of the Summer collection pervade the three limited edition models, giving a touch of Paris-style eccentricity to three classic shoe models.

To Rome, “Eternal City” and symbol of Italian movie productions in the world – and to its Dolce Vita – Louis Vuitton dedicates a pair of sandals, designed for sensual and Mediterranean women.

A pair of pumps is dedicated to Milan, fashion capital and showcase of Italian style in the world.
Elegant and bold, this pump perfectly embodies a dynamic and strong-character woman.

To Venice, art city par excellence, mysterious and decadent, Louis Vuitton dedicates a pair of loafers. Embroidered with a tassel of crystals and stones, it’s the perfect shoe to face the labyrinths of the Serenissima’s calle and bridges with elegance.

The three Louis Vuitton limited edition shoes are entirely handmade in Italy at Fiesso d’Artico’s Manufacture de Souliers, in the region which represents the cradle of shoemaking savoir faire since the 13th century.

The renowned manual ability of the Maison’s artisans allows the manufacture of these complex models: 7 hours are needed for each pair for the embroideries on the upper, all entirely carried out by hand without the aid of any machinery, and expecting the average application of 250 tiny pearls whose dimension range from 3 to 4 millimetres, from dark ruthenium colour studs, details recalling the 2014 Spring/Summer Show, and the Louis Vuitton logo hot printing along with the name of the city they are dedicated to.

The three limited edition shoes will be on sale starting from 28th May 2014 at stores in Rome and from 6th June at stores in Venice and Milan.
