Woolrich Spring/Summer 2017 for women presents tran-seasonal items with an innovative technology through its exclusive camouflage patterns and launches two limited editions: PRESCOTT REVERSIBLE PARKA in collaboration with the Olivades atelier and the first Woolrich E-bike for women made with DEUS EX MACHINA.
For its women’s S/S 2017 collection, Woolrich interprets the fishing and camou themes in a soft key, thanks to the study of a specific color palette: uncommon and sophisticated green tones together with shades of grey and melange, or with more intense colors like orange and indigo in a contemporary feminine mix and match.
The fabrics alternate firmness with impalpable lightness, the silhouettes are soft and the volumes are large, the outerwear – in brand consistency – lives as a starting point and keystone for the developing of all the articles of the collection.
Tran-seasonal items, as Charlotte Bomber with clean, precise lines, enriches the theme in City fabric, along with the white Short Parka and with the new Modern Trench that has a marked femininity.
Galvanic gold identify the new Eskimo in shape memory, proposed for the first time in the new pictorial 1950s camou and with a floral-inspire pattern that extends itself as a stain on the fabric, recreating a fish-skin animalier effect. A new hood in shape memory interprets and completes the fishing-inspire outfit. With an exasperated doubled cotton length, it sinks in the exclusive camouflage print in sand tones, made water resistant thanks to the thermo taping manufacturing.
PRESCOTT REVERSIBLE PARKA comes back, in limited edition and launched in collaboration with the Olives atelier, a company founded in 1818 specialized in the creation and printing of fabrics in Provence.
A special project that balances between tradition and experience that connects Woolrich to an historic company, which sees its origins in the technique learnt and exported from India and that continues the ancient art of the textile processing of the south of France.
A reversible and completely water resistant item, plain color on one side and on the other with typical decorative elements of the Provencal tradition and oriental influences, leitmotiv of the two different prints on cotton.
This woman outerwear collection is completed by a hymn to the urban sportswear: Summer Parka in the high collar version made in cotton twill and Prescott Parka in laminated cotton in two lengths, in the new Laminated Denim, with double-breasted six button closure that, since it wraps the neck gently, makes you forget the absence of the hood.
Different patterns are developed on different fabrics, starting from the exclusive camouflage, through the iconic buffalo check until the new indigo patchwork pattern on the maxi shirt and on linen dress, concluding the shirts set.
Printed silks give lightness to multiple lengths dresses that emphasize the silhouette and the eclectic tunics with a fluid cutting to wear as maxi dresses or flared skirts. The proportions are constantly changing: shorts, boot cut pants and cotton farmer chino to match with boxy jackets, blouses that leave the shoulders bare, or that are tied under the neck, finding a new femininity, thanks to the unfailing hoods with their relaxed and refined line.
Woolrich & Deus Ex Machina | E-Bike
A double matrix, urban and outdoor, the brand’s DNA itself, comes to life in the entire collection and is the source of inspiration for the new Woolrich E-bike, already presented in the men’s collection and now available for women as well.
The Woolrich e-bike is born from the cooperation between Woolrich and Deus – an Australian-born brand specialized in motorcycles, bicycles, and surfboards – worlds apparently far apart but alike in the creativity and constructive ability typical of a craftsman’s workshop and in an unfailing passion for the creation of unique works.
This bike is born, with a city look but with many additional features, such as the “fat” tires, the width and structure of which make it possible to drive on trails as on city streets and cobble stones. With an aggressive look and a sporty grip, built entirely by hand in Italy by DeusCycleworks, it responds to the diverse needs of the contemporary man, also thanks to a system of completely integrated pedal-assist that turns the Fat into a veritable E-Bike with an overall weight of less than 15 kilos, a surplus value and a peculiarity for bikes of this type.
