The Armani Group announces the opening of its new Giorgio Armani boutique in St. Tropez.
The opening of the boutique coincided with the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show (June 4 to 6), the famous international equestrian event sponsored by Giorgio Armani, among others. This year, the venue was Pampelonne beach, Saint Tropez.
To mark the occasion, the designer personally hosted an exclusive dinner at his own house in Saint-Tropez. Among the guests were his niece Roberta, Athina Onassis de Miranda and husband Álvaro ‘Doda’ de Miranda Neto, Bruce Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa, daughter Jessica Springsteen, Guillaume Canet, Marta Ortega, Mayor Tuveri of Saint-Tropez, Marta Marzotto, Lord William Astor, Jan Tops and others.
Located on Rue Francois Sibilli, the city’s main luxury shopping street, the boutique has two floors totalling 354 square metres. The ground floor is dedicated to women’s ready-to-wear collections.
Men’s collections of apparel and accessories are on the first floor.
The interior of the boutique has been completely redesigned by Giorgio Armani and his team of architects, creating a warm and elegant space that reflects the atmosphere of St. Tropez. Finished with light dove-grey marmorino plaster for the ceilings, the walls are decorated with light grey bamboo-patterned wood panels, which are perforated and backlit.
The floors are covered with wood-effect porcelain tiles matching the colours of the walls, while fixtures and displays feature a special burnished brass galvanic finish. Seats and carpets are from the latest Armani/Casa collection.
‘Saint Tropez has always been a favourite destination for high-profile tourists from across the world. The city’s vibrant energy and engaging atmosphere make it just the right location for my new store,’ says Giorgio Armani
