Behind the Scenes of Taylor Swift's Custom Couture Outfits for the 'Eras' Tour in Collaboration with Cavalli: The Sketches Revealed

Taylor Swift kicked off her highly anticipated tour on Friday, March 17, 2023 in Glendale, AZ, wearing three custom couture capsule looks created by the Roberto Cavalli Atelier.

Music has been associated with Roberto Cavalli’s glamour and style since its very beginning; it is a constant and enduring bond.

Fausto Puglisi, the brand’s Creative Director, states that music is his greatest inspiration, as it allows him to break new ground.
The collaboration with Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour began at the Grammy Awards in February, when Taylor wore custom Roberto Cavalli on the red carpet. Inspired by the tour’s representation as a journey through Taylor’s Musical Eras, Puglisi designed a Roberto Cavalli Couture capsule collection made of jewelled dresses rich in precious Swarovski crystal embroidery and intricate embellishments.

Each garment in the capsule required more than 170 hours of careful handcraftsmanship by skilled artisans. Taylor Swift wore three looks from Roberto Cavalli Couture, including: A custom Roberto Cavalli Couture Light Gold Fringed Mini Dress fully embroidered in light gold flounces of briolette fringe, forming horizontal zig zag tiers all over the body. Wide straps fall into a fitted sweetheart bustier.

A custom Roberto Cavalli Couture Embroidered Snake Asymmetrical black catsuit, featuring a black three-dimensional embroidered snake motif winding from top to bottom.

The snake is fully articulated by ruby red baguettes, black bezels and diamond crystal accents. Matching combat boots feature the same base and embroidery.

And a custom Roberto Cavalli Couture Embroidered Rhombus Top and Mini Skirt.

Swarovski crystals and metallic cylindrical embroidery create a rhombus motif all over a coordinating bustier top and mini skirt, in fuchsia, tangerine and peridot. To complete the brilliance, briolette fringes have been layered all over for a fringe effect.
