Callens: The 15 looks are designed to be integrated with each other, layered together or pared back, as the ultimate travelling collection.

For SS17, Callens is making a statement with strength that continues to develop the brand’s philosophy of performance meets elegance, but this season with an opulent hit of glamour.

Under the direction of an internationally renowned design team, this season Callens explores the idea of the New Uniform, and breaking down the barriers between leisure and luxury.

The collection was inspired by the modern woman’s free lifestyle and the demands of travelling, considering movement and comfort in all she wears and everything she does. The spirit of sportswear essential in each piece.

The refined collection focuses on creating a precise wardrobe, one that corresponds with every demand of contemporary living.

The tracksuit, a signature of the brand from the outset, is central to SS17, but is reconsidered as this generation’s new suit. One that isn’t reserved solely for casual, but instead elevated for day or night. Created in supersoft cashmere, silk velvet, silk duchesse and liquid sequins, imagined in different silhouettes, in neutral shades but highlighted with boldly colored, but subtly placed, stripes.

Making statements of jackets, a washed silk bomber is oversized and relaxed, it’s size emphasized when paired with the elongating mixed fabric narrow pants. While the Japanese kimono has determined the voluminous shapes of jackets, coats and contributed to inventive design details.

Incorporating embroidery for the first time, the clean lines of the collection allow the intricate needlework to surprise, as it serves to further heighten the luxurious direction of the collection.

The 15 looks are designed to be integrated with each other, layered together or pared back, as the ultimate travelling collection. Performance clothing remains part of the identity of Callens, but it is what you achieve when wearing it that is the conclusive goal.
