Against the enchanting backdrop of Rio de Janeiro, Jessica Minh Anh, a visionary in fashion and internationally renowned top model, has recently made a bold move: she transformed the deck of Costa Diadema, a jewel of Brazilian cruises, into a floating runway. Her J Summer Fashion Show 2023 emerged as a true spectacle of innovation, blending high-fashion glamour with a fairytale setting.
The curtain rose with Jessica in a charming pink “Áo Dài” designed by Gam Voc, a masterpiece of Vietnamese design that melds tradition with modernity. This tribute to Asian culture, marked by luxurious fabrics and intricate patterns, tells tales of elegance and allure. The color palette and embroidery evoke the Lunar New Year, symbolizing a perfect fusion of past and future in a dreamlike setting.
A crescendo of emotions followed as Jessica appeared in a structured red dress, a bold mix of ’80s style and modernity, perfectly accentuating her silhouette. Completed with a hairstyle inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue, crafted by Brazilian artists, this look proved to be a turning point in the show. The runway, poised between the crystal-clear sea and Rio’s skyline, provided a dreamlike stage for the models, who paraded in a unique and evocative setting.
Cristina Sabatini’s sparkling jewelry added additional charm to the event, a result of a decade-long collaboration with Jessica Minh Anh. This edition marked another chapter in the story between Minh Anh and Costa Cruises, emphasizing a shared vision of fashion and sustainability.
The partnership between Jessica Minh Anh and Costa Cruises, ongoing since 2013, has featured iconic moments like the J Winter Fashion Show in Dubai. Dario Rustico of Costa Cruises celebrated this partnership, highlighting the company’s 75 years in Brazil.
Before the event, Jessica and her team, hailing from the world’s fashion capitals, savored Brazil’s unique hospitality. With the J Summer Fashion Show 2023, Jessica Minh Anh not only staged her 28th innovative production but also continued to redefine the concept of the runway with a young, fresh spirit and a powerful message: fashion is beauty, boldness, and sustainability.
