Michael Kors annunces the first-ever transformation of the brand’s lifestyle store at 384 Bleecker Street, New York, into a serialized pop-up shop titled THE KORS EDIT.
The shop will offer customers creatively curated collections of product that will rotate monthly, gallery-style, with designer Michael Kors personally choosing the theme each time. Every month, THE KORS EDIT will unveil a brand-new, boutique-like shopping environment complete with of-the-moment products, content and storytelling.
“We are always thinking of new ways to better serve our most loyal customers and THE KORS EDIT is a great way to tap into what we’re most excited about at Michael Kors right now,” says Michael. “The Bleecker Street store is like my lab where the newest ideas, concepts and personalized points of view will come to life. I specifically wanted to create this kind of innovative shopping space downtown, on Bleecker, which has always been a culturally rich hot spot in the city.”
In today’s cultural landscape, which is defined by ever-shifting tastes and desires, curating product that speaks to top-of-mind trends is a way for the brand to cater to the customers’ wishes in the most nimble and creative way.
In September, the official fashion month, the store’s windows and shelves will showcase a curated selection of Fall 2016 Michael Kors Collection accessories and shoes. The pieces were specifically chosen to delight the customers.
On September 14, the day of the Spring 2017 Michael Kors Collection runway show, THE KORS EDIT will transform the store yet again to spotlight Ready-to-Wear, Ready to Go—just-off-the-runway spring items available for purchase mere hours after the show.
In October, THE KORS EDIT will be dedicated to highlighting product featured in the brand’s first-ever street style campaign, The Walk. The display will emphasize individuality and offer up a diverse roster of the Brooklyn series handbags and ready-to-wear items from the campaign.
The gallery-like environment at the Bleecker Street store will celebrate the spirit of spontaneity, creativity and innovation at Michael Kors and allow the brand to instantly cater to the modern customer mindset.
THE KORS EDIT pop-up opens on August 10 with School of Sport as the inaugural theme.
