Always interested in how colors exert their influence upon us, Italo Fontana expands the Darkmoon collection of watches, offering the chance to its wearer to choose the nuance of the dial that feels most its own and positively influence its own moods passing from red, to black, to blue, to green and brown.
From a technical point of view, the designer from Lucca adds an innovative locking ring system with quick battery replacement, an innovation not only conceived for all Darkmoon models but also for the acclaimed Capsoil Chrono watch in both the steel case and the black DLC version.
The new U-BOAT Darkmoon range consists of 13 watches with 44mm cases, and two 38mm cases, all characterized by the innovative concept of “Oil Immersion”, tested for the first time in the Capsoil model, where an oil bath completely immerses the Swiss Ronda quartz movement and completely surrounds the dial turning it into a full, deep color.
A compensation bubble floats freely on the dial protecting the watch from the changes in the external temperature.
Models with brushed steel cases alternate with others in IPB black and one in IP bronze, while domed sapphire glasses, creating the illusion of the absence of the glass, amplify the three-dimensionality of hands and metal dials painted in various shades such as blue, red, brown, green, black some with a Soleil finish, a radial satin finish that emphasises even further the full colour effect.
On the left side of the case an iconic screw-down crown with a double safety system allows the adjustment of the time function while on the back, in addition to the aforementioned closure system of the caseback and the compartment for quick battery change has been added as in the Capsoil models for easy adjustment by the technical service of the fluid inside the case.
Regarding the straps, all the Darkmoon watches feature one in ultra-resistant vulcanized rubber, in black, customized with the brand logo in relief, with the exception of the model with IP bronze case, which boasts it in hand-finished and laser-cut calfskin, and the 38mm models with metal mesh bracelet.
