The artisanal enchantment of the Pasticcino Bag Hommage à la France: a journey into the tradition and innovation of Weekend Max Mara.
In a constantly evolving world, tradition and craftsmanship represent a beacon of authenticity and uniqueness. Weekend Max Mara, a clothing and accessories brand known for its distinct personality and Italian DNA, has always placed the celebration of artistic excellence and craft traditions at the core of its philosophy.
In its global journey, the second stop is dedicated to France, with the iconic Pasticcino Bag Hommage à la France, a bag that celebrates French art and craftsmanship.
The Pasticcino Bag, named after the world of small pastries, finds its origins in the textile tradition and glass art of Venice. In its second edition, the tribute shifts towards France, highlighting the historical heritage of lace and ceramic art.
Available in lemon, orange, pink, lavender, and black, the Pasticcino Bag Hommage à la France is a masterpiece of sophistication and femininity, entirely crafted in Calais-Caudry lace, with two spheres of glazed ceramic closure from Longwy.
The lace is the result of the skill of Maison Dentelle André Laude, which has been weaving this noble material since 1850 with unique savoir-faire, ensuring its presence in the most prestigious high-fashion shows. The spheres of the Pasticcino Bag, on the other hand, are made by the historic Manufacture des Emaux de Longwy 1798, famous for its artistic ceramics and incredible know-how.
Longwy glazed ceramic, known as “Faïence,” is a particular type of ceramic created using exclusive molds. The spheres are decorated with special enamels to achieve a brilliant crackle effect that harmonizes perfectly with the lace. One of the spheres is finished with the butterfly, the symbol of Weekend Max Mara.
Each Pasticcino Bag is therefore a treasure of casual and contemporary elegance, carrying with it the history and art of two French traditions, ceramics, and lace, both renowned for their uniqueness and unparalleled savoir-faire.
