Italian born luxury streetwear label Hydrogen announces it’s first monobrand U.S. flagship located in the NoLita neighborhood of New York City. The New York store will mirror the Milan and Japanese flagships to create international recognition and build upon the brand’s image, while promoting the quality and style of the Italian Made products.
The Hydrogen U.S. flagship will offer a shopping experience focused specifically on its New York customers by offering key pieces to create a well-rounded ensemble for all occasions. The design of the store mimics that of a “perfect closet” to engage shoppers in an intimate environment and create an emotional shopping experience.
“For us, it’s a small, yet very important step. In recent years, we have seen our brand grow in Italy, before expanding into Japan. Today, we are proud to open our first U.S. shop. I like saying ‘Born in Italy, raised in Japan, settled in the US’ because I am hoping for America to become our new development home.” Says Alberto Bresci, designer and founder of the Hydrogen label.
Hydrogen counts thirteen doors amongst it’s monobrand flagships, and hopes to continue expanding globally throughout the year. In addition, Hydrogen counts Daimaru, Lafayette and Mitsukoshi, as a few of their top selling wholesale accounts.
“Opening doors in international markets is part of a larger retail expansion project in progress” says Alberto. “The various openings are a confirmation of how well our brand is perceived by the markets.”
The Hydrogen U.S. flagship will open to the public on September 21st and is located at 6 Prince Street, in New York City.
Hydrogen is one of the leading brands of the Luxury Sportswear industry. The brand, which was founded in 2003 by the fashion designer Alberto Bresci, stands out for being the first company to manufacture luxury sportswear, even in co-branding with brands of excellence that are not always closely linked to the fashion world. Since it was founded, Hydrogen has worked with brands such as K-Way®, Superga®, Fiat, Mv Agusta, Lotus, Wally Maxy Yacht, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Gruppo Perfetti, Sartoria Luigi Bianchi Mantova, Henderson, Duvetica and JPLUS eyewear. Bresci’s inspiration came from an old denim shirt that belonged to the lawyer Gianni Agnelli. He called it the “Lawyer Shirt” and it soon became the brand’s icon. Currently, the following lines are available: Hydrogen Man, Hydrogen Woman, Hydrogen Kids, Hydrogen Tennis and Hydrogen Eyewear.
